🌐 Live Sources (Recommended)

Use the Live Sources feature for fresh, real-world content:

Categories include: Random Topics, Latest News, Inspirational Quotes, Classic Literature, Programming & Code, Poetry, History, Science, Travel, Food, Sports, Music, Philosophy, Biography, and more.

AI generated (ChatGPT or similar)

  1. Open any AI chat and request text tailored to your level.
  2. Example prompts:
    • "Write a 3‑paragraph story (150–250 words) at 8th‑grade level. Include commas, quotes, and dashes. Avoid code or unusual symbols."
    • "Create 200 words of Nepali text using common day‑to‑day vocabulary. Keep sentences short."
    • "Generate a list of 100 common tech terms separated by spaces for typing practice."
  3. Copy the output and paste it into Paste text in the app.

Getting started

  1. Open Manual Mode from the header.
  2. Paste your practice text into Paste text.
  3. Pick a Duration or enable Practice mode for no timer.
  4. Adjust Font size as you like; use Reset anytime.
  5. Click Start Test and begin typing in the input box.
Tip: For accuracy training, disable Include punctuation. For realism, keep it on.

Manual English practice

Paste any English text. Keep Include punctuation on for realistic practice, or turn it off for pure letters and numbers.

Access the dedicated Nepali typing section for comprehensive Devanagari practice:

Keyboard Setup

Windows: Go to Settings → Time & Language → Language & region, add Nepali, then add the Unicode keyboard.
macOS: Go to System Preferences → Keyboard → Input Sources, add Nepali (Devanagari).
Linux: Install the Nepali language pack and add the Devanagari keyboard layout.

🖨️ Print Results

Generate professional PDF reports of your typing test results:

  1. After completing a test, click 🖨️ Print Results in the results section.
  2. Enter your details in the popup dialog:
    • Full Name (required) - Your name for the report
    • Email (optional) - Your email address
    • Notes (optional) - Additional comments or observations
  3. Click 🖨️ Print Report to generate the PDF.
  4. The report includes:
    • Student information (name, email, test date/time)
    • Typing performance (WPM, accuracy, time, errors)
    • Additional notes (if provided)
    • Professional formatting with borders and styling

📱 Install as App (PWA)

Install Typing Meropractice as a native app on your device:

How to install:

  1. Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Look for the install button in the address bar or click the three-dot menu → "Install Typing Meropractice"
  2. Mobile (Android): Tap "Add to Home screen" when prompted, or use Chrome menu → "Add to Home screen"
  3. Mobile (iOS): Tap the share button → "Add to Home Screen"
Tip: The install prompt appears automatically after using the app a few times. You can also dismiss it and install later.

Privacy

Everything runs locally in your browser. Pasted text, results, and settings remain on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
